An Interactive Lab for Evolving Your Coaching Practice
Note-taking is an essential component of most coaching practices, but it’s rarely taught or trained. There’s an assumption that you’ve been through decades of schooling. Whether you’ve been coaching for 2 months, 2 years, or 2 decades, you’ve made it this far, so you must know how to take notes. But do you? How often do you re-consider your note-taking? Is it effective?
Do you capture notes on paper or digitally? Do you record the notes, or does an AI companion? Are the notes just for you, or do you share with the client? Do notes distract you or help you stay attentive? Do you use a template? Do you capture everything, or just key insights?
How do you take notes? How do you adjust your coaching approach in response to your clients’ needs?
In classic coaching fashion, we’re coming with questions, and we’ll develop the answers and learn together. There’s no one “right” way that we want to tell you to take notes.
Together, your hosts will guide you and your co-participants through an interactive discussion and collaborative activities to better understand how note-taking can be most effective in coaching. We’ll explore different note-taking strategies, best practices, and techniques, capture our notes, and learn from one another.
